Two new luxury student residence buildings at York University’s Keele Street campus feature landscaped amenity areas that reflect the superior accommodations. Each building is wrapped around a central quad where students can study, relax, and recharge in a therapeutic garden environment. Sustainable design elements include permeable pavers which allow for groundwater recharge and the use of indigenous, drought-tolerant planting.

The promenade along The Pond Road allows ample space for cafés and ground floor retail to flow with the neighbourhood. A series of seat walls punctuates the public realm and draws the campus into the site. Native shade trees provide cover and seasonal interest to the vibrant streetscape.
